| Never thought I would be making one of these posts. But finally after a month I was able to get myself together take pictures of it. If you have weak stomach or can't look at a totalled Z...I recommend not looking at the pictures. They will make your stomach uneasy. Well before I post the pictures of the totalled Z...a little back ground history. My name is Ben and I purchased my black 1994 300ZX 2+2 automatic on February 17 2004. To be exact it was Tuesday and I got to pick up the car and drive it home at 9:05 pm. I always wanted a 300ZX since 4th grade. When I was driving it home I was so excited that I had tears in my eyes. Finally after so long and hard work I was able to purchase a 300ZX of my own. This was the first picture I took from her. 
For awhile I thought no other Z fenatic was around until at 4am I stumbled across TwinTurbo.net After debating if I should become a member for an hour on May 4th 2004 at 5:53am I created an account and made my first post. It was amazing seeing so many people sharing the same passion as myself. Than the picture whoring started. And after that the modifications started. 
But also the accidents and little nicks and dings started. 2 people during the ownership of my Z hit me and my car had to go to a shop to get repaired. Luckily they were minor and the Z got back on the road. Most members on TwinTurbo.net know what a nut case about 300ZXs I was. I loved and babied my Z. During the 2 and some months of ownership my Z was a big factor in my life. Road trips, proms, dates, school, work....my Z took me everywhere. With all this usage the Z needed maintanace also, so for the first time in my life I lifted up a wrench to fix a car. Bought a manual and started it learning. 
Than came the Zeta wing and my car was all over the place =P Getting posted on twinturbo.net atleast 2 times a week.
but alas....came March 23rd 2006. Decided to go on a little drive and enjoy some time driving the Z at night time. Something that I wish I would have never done....
I was coming around a corner on a 2 lane road when right around the corner came another car...speeding and right in the middle of the 2 lanes. I was going about 40-45mph. I did not want to slam head on into this jackass that is right in the middle of the road and half way in my lane. He was going about 60mph and for the sake of my life I turned the wheel to swerve around him. Being still young and not experienced at driving I freaked out and that's when it happened. The tail end of the car caught the gaurd rail and the metal rail sliced through it. The first impact sent me spinning and I collided head on with a concrete gaurd rail. Both airbags poped on impact. Luckily and thankfully (I wear my seatbelt all the time) I had my seatbelt on and I was unharmed. No scratch one me except a bruise on my knee that was minor. By the time I came to and got out of the car the other car was long gone. I was stranded in a dark 2 lane road until someone stopped...after that the rest is history. Here is how my Z ended up. 
and insurance would not touch my case since the other guy ran and I only had liability. So the car came into my garage. It will stay there and get parted out.
 Ever since then I have felt like shit. Not a day goes by that I don't blame myself. But alas that is life. Things will move on and time heals wounds. Hopefully after college is done I can get myself a TT. For now I don't feel like I deserver owning another Z. Thanks for everyone who helped me with this ordeal.  I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!"
